Advise me... Filling with color
#1
Hi I am a long time DeltaCad 7 user. I am having some trouble filling in a round steel flat washer with color. I have split both radius into separate points and touched all of the points inside and out. When I right click to fill with color the whole washer fills in with color including the center through hole. I viewed and followed the video on YouTube and I don't seem to be having any luck. Any advice will be appreciated.
Thanks

Endmiller, first off, welcome to the forums. What you are looking for is a "See Through Object". Read the thread linked below, the second link is a PDF tutorial and the third is a web-based tutorial with animation.

Set the circle font to filled and set the circle color to the color you want to washer to be then draw the circle to the outside diameter.
Leave the circle font to filled and set the color to your background color (white) and draw a circle to the inside diameter and center it to the large diameter. (left hand washer)

You can also add black circles to highlight the washer by going to regular font black color and a thicker weight. (right hand washer)
You may have to move the Z order up on these circles

That was too easy.
I am just being funny, and appreciative. Wink
All the best to all on this forum. I know now where to go for help with DeltaCad. I will try to keep an eye here so I may help others.
