Cannot remove or edit object

I started to add a dimension (24") to a drawing. Somehow I missed the "24" part and hit enter. The " mark is still there but I can't delete it or edit it. I restarted the program. I rebooted the computer. I put new batteries in my keyboard and mouse. I'm out ideas. Help.

From how you 'phrased' your post I'm going to assume that you tried to insert the measurement with "text" rather than "dimension".

In order to delete "text" you must be sure to select all parts of the text, including the unseen underscore that you only see whet the text is selected. Make sure that when using the "erase" button in the "Edit" tab that you see the underscore in the selection.

If this doesn't solve the issue the I think you'll need to tell us a little more about the problem.

OK, I finally got it off. I'm not really sure how at this point, but it is gone and that is the purpose of the exercise. Thank you very much. I need to talk to y'all more often. I need lots of education. Thanks for your help.
