Advise me... .sym files
#1
Lightbulb
Hi All,

I am new to the forum and I looking for information on how to make and edit .sym files with Deltacad. I found the .sym files in the download pages and figured out how to open them. Now of course, I would like to make and or be able to edit them. I found one thread referring to this subject but there was no answer to the question posed. Any information on this subject is greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Bill C.

Hi Bill and welcome to the DeltaCad Users Group forums.

To create a symbol
  • draw what it is that you want for a symbol, select it, click the "Edit" tab then select "Copy" from the drop down menu
  • click the "File" tab, then select "Symbols" from the drop down menu
Once in the" Symbols" window choose "Add Symbol"
  • in the "Add Symbol" pop up choose the "Section" you want to place your symbol or create a new section by just typing in a new section name
  • type in a name for your new symbol
  • click save
To edit a symbol
  • place desired symbol on your work space
  • make necessary changes
  • Follow steps above
I'm sure if I made any errors someone will jump in and correct me.

Best of luck
