Paste .jpg File (Photo) to DC Drawing
#1
I want to paste a picture (.jpg file) of our hunting camp mobile home.
We are adding, a deck and I want to draw the deck on the picture.
DeltaCad won't let me directly copy and paste a picture, but I was able to accomplish this by first pasting it to an MS Word Doc.
Next I copied the picture from the Word Doc and pasted it to my DC drawing.Smile
My problem is scaling my drawing of the deck with the picture.
Does anyone know a way to do this?
Thanks,
Will

Will,
Let me also welcome you to the group.
To answer your question(s)......
Yes! Deltacad does allow you to "import" pictures in two formats (.jpg,.bmp). Go to...
  • file>import>image file to clipboard
  • browse for your file
  • left click to place the image (cursor will be centered to the image by default)
Since the drawing is the only thing that is to scale you will want to scale the picture to the drawing. I have a video tutorial that will help you do that very thing. Click Here to view the tutorial. The tutorial will begin by showing you how to correctly align the picture so that it will be horizontal to the X axis. You will then learn how to scale the picture to the exact dimensions required. Once this is done you can move your deck or add to your deck while comparing it to a perfectly scaled image of your home. Have Fun!
